aquaponics
Aquaponics involves combined fish and vegetable farming on land. The process takes advantage of the fact that fish produce nutrient-rich water which can be used to fertilise the plants in a closed system, using bacteria that grow naturally in aquaponics. The system mimics the natural ecosystem of rivers and lakes.
